I know how intimidating it can be to take that first step into the weight room. I was so shy and self-conscious the first few times. But I just had to remind myself why I was there…. I was there for ME… not to impress anyone else!
Usually the women are busy running like little hamsters in the cardio area, while the big, sweaty men are lifting in the weight room. It’s easy to get sucked into the notion that you don’t belong among the dumbbells and grunting men and that you should stick to the elliptical.
Honestly, the hardest part is that first step. Once you figure out where everything is and start to get used to doing the different exercises, you will feel right at home, I promise!
